Can anyone tells describe me the procedure for calculation falsh point index if i know a flash point for particular stream

Thanks in advance
Suhas

Calc FI for each component and calc the FI for the blend
Blend is based on volume/proportions

FLASH INDEX = 10^(-61188+43452/(FLASHPOINT+383)
FLASH POINT = 4345.2/(LOG (FLASH INDEX) + 6.1188) - 383.0.
WHERE
FLASH POINT (ABEL) IS IN degF.

RogerH, do you know the source of these equations ? Any idea of how accurate they predict blend values ?
