Hi everybody !!!
Very warm regards to all of you,
In coker complex ,the coke drums overhead line which goes to coker fractionator this transfer line is prone for coking and that is why to maintain temperature around 430 C,quenching is also being provided through Light coker gas oil (LCGO) ,at the same time due to coking phenomenon it calls for every 3 months hydrojetting of that line as around 3-4 mm coking depositions takes place inside periphery because it also calls for increase in pressure of coke drum up to 1.8 kg/cm2g and subsequently increase in delta P of overhead vapor transfer line.Any experience on CFD of this system to resolve the problem ?
Thanking you.

I was thinking along the lines of coke fines deposition.

I have read of the addition of HP condensate to increase fluid velocity through the coker heater and into the drum to prevent scale or deposition in that portion.
Does that scale affect the response time of the temperature measurement much?
