Silt control within river
Source:Internet Author:Unknow Pubdate:2008-03-22

Assigned to a bridge construction project with pile driving within the river.  Must contain silt during pile driving operations or be shutdown due to fish breeding season.  Any suggestions.  Average depth is 6-8 feet in most locations, but very fast moving.

Check out this thread in the Geotechnical Engineers / Earth retention engineering forum. The recommended a sort of water filled geotextile tube / cofferdam which could be placed around your pile driver to help contain the silt.
