Velocity= Displacement/ Time Based on this equation, we can calculate the velocity i-e slip velocity of the sand
The slip velocity is dependent on the gel strength of the oil.

The settling velocity (Vs) is calculated using Stoke's law for small particles (Dp< 1mm).
Vs = [(RHOp-RHOf).g.(Dp)^2]/(18.mu)
RHO-density p-particle f-fluid D-diameter mu-dynamic viscosity of the fluid
