I'm reviewing a slurry wall design for a project with a flat surface grade, but the required key-in depth changes considerably across the site.
Does anyone know the max recommended trench bottom slope? I'm sure if the trench bottom is too steep, it would cause problems with maintaining the required slope of the S-B backfill.

Consider: your slope on your sidewalls is vertical. The S/B holds them up. Why would it be any different for the floor?

I believe you are talking about the longitudinal slope on the bottom. for slurry walls it will be determined by the size of the grab ( I understand that it will be too deep to be excavated with a long reach excavator ) Generally a grab is 2.8 m wide so you can have changes in depth every 3.4 m average ( 1 bite + 1 "merlon" )
